Providing lifeline transport for the island of Sanday

1. What is Sanday Bus?

Sanday Bus is the transport arm of the Sanday Development Trust. We operate the Orkney
Island Council bus contract, transporting people around the island of Sanday.

2. Who can use it?

Both residents and visitors to Sanday

3. Where can I travel using the service?

We transport people from any roadside location to another roadside location on Sanday.

4. When can I travel?

The service currently coincides with the ferry times, but plans are underway to increase the
service.

5. How do I book?

To book your journey you can download the free Moove Flexi app from iOS and Android app stores which allows you 24/7 access to book and amend your travel. Once booked, you can track your vehicle on the in-app map and receive updates about your journey.

1. What is the fare for using the service?

As it is a funded service, the prices for travel are reasonable. Currently, the most you will pay is £4.50 for a return trip from the far extremes of Sanday. We also accept concession cards.
